Frequently Asked Questions

Will this work on a scanned PDF?

No — this tool extracts real text from the PDF. Scanned/photographed pages have no embedded text layer, so nothing will be extracted from them (no OCR).

Will the formatting look identical to the PDF?

No — this is a text-based conversion. Paragraphs and line breaks are preserved per page, but exact fonts, multi-column layouts, and images are not.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

The PDF itself is only opened locally in your browser. Only the plain text it extracts is sent to our server, purely to build the .docx file, and isn't stored.

Is there a page limit?

Very large PDFs (300+ pages) are trimmed to keep the tool fast and reliable.
